Daniel Baitch PhD, MSW
Owner, Senior Career Coach

Welcome to Career Path Forward. Thanks for taking the time here.

I work with job transitioners -- from students to executives -- to help them determine where they want to go next in their careers and to help set them on a path to get them there. This includes people who:

  • are happy with their jobs and ready to go to the next step

  • are looking for a different role, manager or organization

  • have left an organization and are looking for their next position

  • are just starting out in their careers

I provide assessment, training, support and encouragement to help them get from where they are to the next step, whether it’s a vertical or lateral move, or a complete change of profession.

My background is in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Having worked in both large and small organizations, I have a strong understanding of companies select, train, develop, motivate and lead people. Most of my career has been focused on helping individuals, leaders and work teams improve their work environments, practices, organizational cultures, teamwork and performance.

But there's a human side to career change; transitions are often stressful and challenging. It's normal to be frustrated, confused, and occasionally lost and overwhelmed. It can be both a maze and an emotional roller coaster. The best coaches take the ride with you - for as long as they are needed. They are helpful, supportive, patient, encouraging, insightful, optimistic, and straightforward.  I try to be all of that.

Working as a career coach enables me to put to use everything I have learned. I have worked as a behavior therapist, HR consultant, account executive, college instructor and trainer in a wide range of organizations – from financial and consulting firms to social service agencies and rehabilitation centers. I am currently an adjunct instructor within the Psychology Department at Fairfield University in CT. After completing coaching positions with two outplacement firms, I expanded my private career coaching practice under the umbrella of Career Path Forward LLC in 2021.

If you're in transition, or you're considering a change, let's talk about where you are, where you want to go, and whether a coach like me is right for you.
